Agency Principal - Jim Reed

Jim formed the agency in 1981 after spending 8 years with a large NW agency. Jim's passion in working with ministries led them to specializing in Christian organizations and non-profit groups. Jim, along with his support staff, have built an agency that now serves more than 700 Christian churches, schools, and camps throughout the Northwest. Jim also retired from the military after serving 26 years with the Oregon National Guard as a flight crew member and on Commander’s staff. Married with four children and twelve grand-children, he now keeps very busy with work and family along with a golf game that always needs help.

Ben Laro - Insurance Agent

Ben Laro joined the agency in 2008 after spending 10 years working for a recognized leader in safety and risk-management. His professional background and ministry experience brings a unique and invaluable perspective to working with clients. He is a business graduate of Corban University and has an MBA from the George Fox School of Management. He has served on the board for a number of organizations and has provided consulting services for various non-profits including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Friends of the Children, The Portland Rescue Mission, and Shepherd’s Door.
In his free time, Ben can be found leading a Sunday service at his home church, floating the river with his family, or riding horses in the mountains – rain or shine… this is the Pacific Northwest!

Sue Bynon - Office Manager

Sue has been with our agency for over 30 years serving as office manager, bookkeeper, and producer. Her expertise resides in Personal lines products and Commercial Lines. Clients have learned to appreciate her willingness to listen and her "can do" attitude. She likes to spend her off hours at her beach house and fishing offshore with her husband and friends

Kat Thomas - Insurance Agent

Kat, licensed in 1992, joined our team in November of 2013. She brings 35 years of experience to the agency and is continually striving to bring quality service and rates to our clients. Her expertise in auto, home and life insurance have proven to be very valuable financially to our customers. Kat and her husband, Kevin, of 28 years, are active at Calvary Chapel Salem, love playing with their grandchildren, church softball, and enjoy organic gardening and landscaping at their home.

Kiersten Reed-King - Customer Service

Kiersten joined the agency in 2006 and became a personal line insurance agent after 10 years of owning her own business. Married to her husband for 20 years with their three boys, she keeps very busy with football, wrestling, baseball and just being with family. In her off time, she is involved in various groups within the community and the Stayton High School sports program. With a true passion for helping other people and approach to old fashioned customer service, is an asset to the agency

Toby Hill - Ministry Service Manager

Toby Hill has been a licensed insurance professional for 10 years, working directly with our ministry clients as a customer service and loss control liaison. Prior to that, Toby spent 7 years serving as a youth pastor at a local church, giving him a unique insight into the needs of ministries both large and small. Toby and his wife are kept busy with their 3 children and their various activities

Kristin Koskella - Agent

An Idaho native, returning home after living in Manhattan and Seattle for most of her adult life, Kristin Koskella joined the agency in March of 2017 bringing 15 years of insurance experience and 8 years of serving in church administration. She is thrilled to be a member of a team devoted to bringing the best possible solutions & risk management services. She lives with her husband Floyd and their aging standard schnauzer, Lucca. She enjoys their five grown children, three grandsons and the life style of living in the Rocky Mountains.
